[Titanium Tiger]: fantasy art contests would be awsome but what spesific things?

[Draymond]: Well I expect sub wikis to be added to that page and we'll have contests in art and writing, the whole creative spectrum.

[Sebhar]: I think that sounds like a marvellous good idea. You could have polls and people could vote, say, for what poem they liked best in such-and-such a category.

[Draymond]: Indeed of course! But lets get more people on board and then we'll test our abilites against each other, we can only improve. ^_^

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i was thinking about trying to do a combo contest, where writers will submit or nominate pieces to be voted on, and the winning piece will be read by the artists, and any who wish may illustrations to be voted on.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: or vice versa. artists submit pieces for writers to write about

[Draymond]: Interesting suggestion, that should be another part of the FAF contests page. I was thinking three links, one to the drawing and art contests, another to writing, and then one for combos.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: whatever works. i was thinking of listing all current contests, with another wiki for past contests. but if we ever get serious about the contests, having so many in one place can get hectic. maybe the contest part shouldbe an index of current contests.

[Draymond]: That sounds efficent. ^_^ It'll cut down on the many wikis that have to be made too.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: true. i can't see the need for more than three or four contests at once (if we even need that many) we can worry about it when we have enough people to start such things. yes, im a procrastinator.

[Sebhar]: Unfortunately, I am too... this all sounds great you guys. I'm actually excited O.o

[Draymond]: *raises hand* I'm a procrastinator as well...lol This forum really grew within a week. This is amazing!

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i know, i accidently slipped some miracle grow in the HTML.

[Draymond]: Oh accidently eh? lol, It seems that I've struck up some good conversations of art with people lately and have referred them here. ^_^

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: your using your own brand of miracle grow too.

HTML... When i made my website, I wrote all the HTML myself. I am so proud of it...

[Draymond]: yes, in fact I'm working on one more person; [† ReclusiveЯose †]

Feels good to decipher and create all that computer code by yourself doesen't it? I did that to one of my computer games and I had a field day figuring it all out...hehe...there is a little geek in all of us. ^_^

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i took a web design class back in high school, and just learning the basics helped a lot. the only image on the site that did not originate form me completely is the one on the homepage, the dichroic glass buttons.... i took two images of groups of those things from a bead website, and spread them out in MS Paint. it does have some use. i got to accustomed to various versions of photoshop though. I am the geekiest person in my house, and i consider myself computer illiterate.

[Draymond]: ...well I'm very computer illterate since I barely understood half of what you just said, and thats rare for me.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: lol, i'm sorry.not a lot of that was about computers... now i'm confused, not that it takes much.

[Draymond]: I find that brilliant minds tend to confuse themselves often. Happens allot to me and my friends...^_^

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i'm certainly flattered. i think i lean more towards klutz than brilliant though. or as the phrase goes

"My mind works like lightening, one brilliant flash and it's gone."

[Draymond]: *chuckles* Interesting quote...but usually actually its more than one bolt of lightening in one strike...sometimes as many as 90 in a single lightening series.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: well, my lightening strikes only once.

[Draymond]: Allright, then your is massive cloud lightening...zapping across the entire sky

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: Cloud lightening, perhaps, just rumbles around without any apparent pattern. :P

[Draymond]: But it still gets people's attention

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i kinda like having no stable thought patterns, and thought trains constantly derailing, it contributes a lot to my creativity, but sometimes it gets frustrating. my memory span is outdone by the average rodent.

[Draymond]: Lol, did you know that the memory of a gold fish is 3 seconds? Now what is the use of a three second memory?
Creativity often melds with my thoughts all day and night...sometimes the creativity pushes the other thoughts to the side and spark energy through me, thats when I draw. Happens about once a month.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i can draw when i feel like it, but sometimes the juices are flowing faster, and they fill the tub and overflow. i love it when i get more ideas than i can handle at once, then put them on the drawing board and reserve them for uninspired days.

[Draymond]: I never get that...but alas, the dam is slowly letting more water through its turbines...more electricity for thought.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: always a good thing.i loveit when i start on project, and that inspires another, and it's a chian raction kinda thing.

[Draymond]: Well at least you have a nuclear reaction of thoughts...mine spin with the current...argh

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: what is a nuclear reaction?

[Draymond]: ...*pan face* What is a nuclear reaction in terms of thought? Or in terms of nuclear fission where atoms are blown apart by nuetrons to release energy that heats water, drives trubines, and genterates electricity. Also, nuclear reaction in Nuclear bombs, hydrogen bombs, but those are fusion. Its bascially where one thing causes a huge chain reaction.

[Draymond]: *chuckles* Oh? lol

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: too much information for me to process.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: in thinking on this forum: once we have more people, we can start nominating pieces, kind of create another wiki-forum where we put a newpiece frome a different artist up every so often (a week or two or whenever we can get around to changing it) bring it to the attention of the whole wiki, and get a broader perspective. like a featured piece of the week.

[Draymond]: Interesting idea...I'll have to give more thought to that...any one else?

[Sebhar]: Ooh, featured pieces sound wonderful!

[Draymond]: Indeed...I might just have to put up a gallery in the writer's FAF critique gallery too, seeing that my writings on ET are being composed into a rather large wiki system.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: lol, have at it, theres no limits here. I only ever dabbled in writing, and never liked anything i did enough to bother with any kind of publication... except that novel my computer ate. I used to consider myself a poet, of types. but then they put me on this drug that killed all creative instinct i had (i'm still recovering from that) and i looked back on my writing, and think it's junk.

[Draymond]: I know...its awsome! lol, by the way, have you seen the "revamped" introduction into my ET house's description?

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: I have now. my house needs a revamp. the bipolar part of me might be paved over, but i still feel the need to revamp my room, my profiles, everything often.

[Draymond]: A change every so once in a while is good. Just repainted by room, well its not done, but its close. Still have the woodwork to paint black...muha, walls are crimson red.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i want to remodel my room again, but that takes money. last time it went from brown paneling and brown carpet to blue tile floors, and sarafi-print and zebra walls, with animal print curtains and bed spread. I'm ready to make it a castle now, with brick-surface walls, and sconces, and a chandelier.

[Draymond]: Now that would be a wicked room. Your room as it is sounds lovely too. I love re-decorating...well I don't like decorating, just making this new and stuff. Trying to get a new carpet as well, not working out too great. lol Still want to get loads of draconian stuff in my room.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: are you familiar with the sculpture my Mariana peña? the windstone editions? her dragons are marvelous. expensive, but wonderful beasts.

[Draymond]: I'm afraid not...is there a website?

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i will look one up.

[Draymond]: Hmm thankyou...^_^ I owe you seriously, all this great music and now art...its like christmas.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i have 4 of those statues... they cost me a lot of money. except for my car, they are the (all four together) most expensive things i have ever bought.

[Draymond]: How much are they? (can't tell with website)...wait, they're sold all over Wisconsin...hang on

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i paid for my smallest one $69 (coiled dragon, peacock color). I paid $250 for the spectral(peacock color), $190 for the male(emerald green), and $230 for the mother dragon(red)

[Draymond]: I would definitely go for the male in emerald, the emperor in gold and black, and the lap dragon in ruby. But that is really expensive...sheesh...*starts plotting out several jobs*

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i still want the lap dragon and warrior dragon, and the scratching one, and the emperor, in whatever colors were available. they discontinued the emerald green, and they used to have a white color, i neved managed to get one of those before they discontinued...

[Draymond]: Have any ideas as to why a colour would be discontinued?

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: not a clue. they sell well enough.

[Draymond]: Hmm...My 12x12 room is starting to get small...with the red paint (dark colours make things appear smaller) and I want to put loads of draconian stuff in there. Are you familiar with either Ruth Thompson or Dark Natasha? They have websites, hang on... www.darknatasha.com and www.tarnishedimages.com for Ruth. Dragon artists the both. But Dark Natasha does a lot of anthro work.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: no, i don't know either of them, but i will have to check that out. you probably know michael whelan. http://www.glassoniongraphics.com

[Draymond]: I actually don't know Micheal Whelan...*cringes* Wait no, his dragons I've seen on posters. So I do know him! Woot! lol. Wait did he do the cover to one of the Pern books?

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: he did the cover to many pern books, and yes, posters and bookmarks, etc.

[Sebhar]: I adored the Pern books. Have you read them yet, Nicholas?

[Miss.Kayree]: I joined =) I'll post stuff as soon as I stop hating my scanner...

[Draymond]: I'm afraid not Seb, I'd like to aquire the entire series before I delve into them. *chuckles* Allright [Miss.Kayree], sounds good. ^_^

[Sebhar]: So many people seem to have scanner issues...

[Draymond]: Like mine for example, is a relic and doesen't have cords to connect to my computer...or the neccessary software. DARUDE ROCKS! Music, for anyone who doesen't know...lol

[Kamari]: lol i don't lol

[Sebhar]: Me neither.

[7sevin7]: *flys in* hola, como' estas

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: hola, bienvenidos al FAF. estoy muy bien, Y tu?

[Sebhar]: Estoy bastante bien, gracias...

[7sevin7]: estoy cansada

[Sebhar]: Yo tambien. No me gusta el colegio... necesito dormir. Ahora.

[7sevin7]: sí yo a

[Sebhar]: *yawns* Bueno, tengo que dormir. Buenas noches!

[7sevin7]: buenas noches, hasta luego

[7sevin7]: btw soy el séptimo dragón que usted puede llamarme sevin para el cortocircuito

[Miss.Kayree]: para.. si.. i know that one.. mais.. je parle francais...

[Sebhar]: Voy a hablar frances despues de este semestre.

[7sevin7]: lol ok

[Sebhar]: So... let's switch back to a language everyone speaks, eh?

[Miss.Kayree]: Yeah.. good idea :P

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: my spoken spanish is better than my written (I work with some Mexicans, and I am the only bilungual person there. I also translate for a few mexican children at the local elementary school, its a volunteer position i took up when i found out the ESL teached didn't know a word of spanish.)

[Sebhar]: Same here... about the spoken being better, anyway. Not that it's terribly much of an improvement.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: half the time im speaking in spanish faster than i am thinking to translate, and getting it right.

[Sebhar]: That's the same for me, most of the time. They're just different vocabulary words, or something. My brain's always been good with language.

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i was always good with getting the accents and difficult pronunciations, but my memory is horrible. About three times a week, I ask Ricardo how to say the same word, because i always forget...

[Sebhar]: My conscious memory is horrible, too. Thankfully I apparently have databases or something for storage of things I don't constantly use.

[Eyonic]: hello

[Draymond]: Muha, bonjour...allright hello. lol

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: hola, bon jour, guten tag, aloha, Kaetaa, Konnichiwa, How,

[Draymond]: *chuckles* All different ways to say hello I assume?

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: yes, i think thats all the languages i know "Hello" in.

[Draymond]: I'm limited to English, French, Spanish, German, and Japenese to say greetings in. unless you count pig latin but I don't think that really counts...lol

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: i hit all of those (except english) plus Hawaiian, Dragon, and some native american dialect, but i only know a handful of words in any language outside english and spanish.

[Draymond]: ...lol, dragon as one person created. Pity they didn't work to finish the entire draconian language, it would save me the trouble of having thoughts of making a draconian language myself...it'll go in that dragon biology book that we'll make together. lol ^_~

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: those dragonology books are kinda nifty, but... i dunno, they are very kid-oriented.

[7sevin7]: ah yes dragons man so mutch i know about dragons yet so little

[The Monochrome Rainbow]: well, what you know (or don't) depends on what authors you read. it's all objective. and I have my own breed of dragons, that are unlike anythng i have veer read about.

[7sevin7]: i dont like authors objective veiws tords dragons i can tell you this i am a dragon and id never let a dumb ass human put a saddle on my back and ride me

[Draymond]: *raises hand* I agree with you 7. I wouldn't let a human 'tame' me If I were a dragon, which I am in many senses of the term.

[Sebhar]: *chuckles*

[Draymond]: What are you chuckling about over there Seb? *coy grin*

[Sebhar]: I forget... *blissfully innocent face*

[Draymond]: ...convenient...lol

[Sebhar]: Don't you love convenience? *grins*

[Draymond]: *chuckles* depends

[Sebhar]: The internet is quite convenient.

[Draymond]: But yet blissfully complicated

[7sevin7]: lol

[Draymond]: Hey whats up

[7sevin7]: ummm? D sun....

[Sebhar]: utterly clever, 7.

[Draymond]: Well...actually the sun isn't allways up...so that doesen't count. lol ^_^

[7sevin7]: um the stratosphere

[Draymond]: Well...technically thats below us too...on the opposite side of the planet. ^_^
